Abstract:Streptomyces is important resource for antibiotic research and development. Among the 1,000 kinds of microbial bioactive substances so far, more than 2/3 of these metabolites were produced by Streptomyces. Streptomyces albireticuli MDJK11 and Streptomyces albofavus MDJK44 were isolated from the rhizosphere soil of peony which showed potential characteristics as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria. The whole genome sequencing combined with bioinformatics analysis of the two Streptomyces species revealed their abundant and novel secondary metabolic biosynthesis gene clusters. In this paper, the structural types and biological activities of secondary metabolites isolated and predicted based on genome information of the two Streptomyces species were summarized to provide references for the further development.
