Abstract:Objective To screen high-yield teicoplanin producing strains. Methods After being treated by the Atmospheric and Room Temperature Plasma (ARTP) irradiation, spore suspension of teicoplanin producing strain Actinoplanes teichomyceticus FIM-68 was spreaded on the regenerating plate containing lethal concentration of teicoplanin. Teicoplanin-resistant mutants were picked up and screened by the shake flask fermentation. Results A high-yield mutant strain Actinoplanes teichomyceticus FIM-68-66 with genetic stability was obtained. The teicoplanin production capacity of the mutant is 2 times higher than the original strain. Conclusion It was the first report that ARTP mutation was adopted to improve the capacity of teicoplanin production of Actinoplanes teichomyceticus effectively. The high-yield teicoplanin producing strain obtained was expected to be used in the industrial production of teicoplanin.
